Jack Update

For those of you who didn't know, my purse was stolen a couple weeks ago. It's been crazy trying to get everything back that was in there. So, that's my excuse for being absent from the blog world for the past couple of weeks. But anyway, enough about me. I know why you're here. You want to see cute pictures of Jack. In fact, I doubt you're even still reading this. Alas. Well, here are some updates in reverse order.

Today Jack and I went outside to enjoy the last bits of the day's sun. I realized that he hasn't really sat on grass much, let alone played with dead leaves! What could be more fun?!

He was working very hard to pick up the little crab apples in the yard. It was my full time job to make sure they didn't make it into this mouth though.

Sylvie had to come over and rustle some leaves herself!

This one is my favorite. I think the leaves were grossing him out. I think I actually see a little bit of Kris in him. ;)

One of Jack's favorite new games is to play with his new buddy, Puppy Jack (he got the name from "How much is that doggy in the window?"...Nevermind, it doesn't make sense when I try to explain it)

It's a shame this only entertains him for about 5 minutes. I thought I was really on to something. I was about the put the mirrors back in to the bathroom!

The below pictures are from a random day when Jack was wrestling with our sheets. I just had to grab the camera. This is what I saw...

He showed those sheets who is boss.

Another very exciting event (up there with sheet wrestling) was Jack's baby dedication. Our parents were able to join for the Sunday's events.

Jack also got to meet some of my former roommates and friends from the Abbey (former on the roommate side, not friends)...

(I'm sure Christy deserved that.)

Here are some pictures from when my family visited for Jack's baby dedication weekend. You just gotta love chubby, fat baby pictures.

While they were here my dad got to give Jack some of his first solid foods.

Jack also went in for his 6 month check up. He weighed only 20 pounds and 4 oz, but is a whopping 30 inches long. Zoe (his pediatrician) said he's the size of an average one year old. Despite the embarrassment I felt, I asked Zoe if she would pose with Jackers since she is such a household name. Here they are! (Jack does have a diaper on by the way.)

And last but not least, I thought this picture of a little go-tee spit-up boy went well with one of the quotes from a favorite movie of ours, Cars.
"Dude, I'm tellin' ya, the third blink is always longer."

"The sixties weren't very good to you were they?"
