Hair Cute

So the first time I tried cutting Jack's hair it was a minor catastrophe. Let's just say that when Kris came home and saw it, the first words out of his mouth were "What did you do to him?!' So needless to say I wasn't looking forward to a second attempt. But it seemed to just fall into my lap. Emma was taking a good, long nap, and I noticed that when Jack was eating pudding he seemed to be very content (and still!). So I started by clipping his nails which were getting so long they could be considered weapons. And that went so successfully that I ran upstairs and grabbed the scissors and comb and went to work...

Here are the before pictures. Jack enjoying his pudding and juice.

These are the during pictures.

After a good scrub down...(I apologize for the lack of clothing. At least he has his shoes on! What kind of mother am I?)

I would highly recommend pudding to anyone who needs to keep a kid still for longer than 2 minutes.

2-Week and 18-Month Check-ups

Well, I couldn't have done it without Grandpa Marcantonio's help, but I brought in both kids for their check ups today. Jack weighed in at 29lbs and 10oz (95th percentile) and Emma was 9lbs and 10oz (96th percentile). Emma has grown too! She is now 22.25 inches long (off the charts)! I apologize but I forget Jack's height (I need to get them to write it down for me next time), but it was off the charts too. Zoe (our pediatrician) said that people are going to think he's 2 1/2 or 3 and wonder why he is still throwing tantrums. About 1 minute into Emma's check up she was fussy because she was hungry. Zoe commented that she had already cried as much as Jack had in all his visits. :)

For those of you who won't read a post unless it has pictures, here are some pictures of the kiddies.
