Beach with the Raglands

The first part of our summer vacation was in Duck, NC with my folks. They graciously invited us to share their beach house and the festivities.

The below pictures are of my brother, Josiah. He was impressing Jack with his guitar skilz. Jos has just recently started playing the guitar, something none of us other children got into, and has shown himself to be quite the musician! He held Jack's attention for about 5 minutes, and that says a lot!

And of course there were the days on the beach...

Jack eating sand...

Kris introducing him to the ocean...

I think he took it well...

I love watching these boys play together...

"Wook what ah ca do, Dalda."

For any who have not yet witnessed the impressive muscles of Jack this may be a good time to prepare your eyes...

Pale Momma and the boy...

We also spent an afternoon at Jockey's Ridge State Park and sand dunes. This place was so much bigger than I could describe. These are the largest sand dunes on the entire East coast.

It's tough work climbing these dunes...

Jack also enjoyed getting to bond with "Grandpa Coach" for a few days. Pretty intimidating, huh?

It took him a little while, but Jack eventually settled in and learned to relax a bit while we were on vacation...

Did some light reading...

Hangin' as a fam...

And as the Grand Finale: Our Jack sitting with his Nana, doing one of the things he does best.

We had so much fun with you guys, Mom and Dad! Thanks for inviting us!
