Best Buddies

Jack's been waiting over 5 months for his best buddy to be born, and finally Matthew Ian Wilcox arrived this past Friday morning (he's on the phone with Jack in this picture).

Here is their first official meeting...Jack welcomed him to the world with a drip of slobber.

This is the closest they get to playing together...for now.

And for your viewing pleasure here are some recent pictures of Jackers...

Kinda looks like he got caught doing something here. :)

People Food, the Pool, and More!

Lots of new things have been happening at the Marcantonio Mansion.

1) Jack got a new mega toy! (That's what they're called if it holds him rather than he holds it!) This is an Excersaucer. I just love the name. He is still figuring it out, but he seems to like it a whole lot more when he has a Nuk in his mouth because otherwise he tries to put all the nifty toys in his mouth and then gets stuck leaning forward. Here is a picture of Jack sportin' the new ride.

2) The family went on a day trip to Annapolis for my birthday! In the background you can see one of the boats Kris bought me as a present. ;)

Daddy and son...

There are just so many things I could say about this picture, but I'll let you think of them on your own. :)

3) Jack tried his first taste of big people food! Although it appears he still prefers the taste of his fingers.

After a hard night's work...

4) Jack and Pop Pop went on a pool adventure. Please excuse Jack, he insisted in wearing his "real" bathing suit!

I just love the blubber on this boy!

Then it was time to dry off and chill with Dada. Isn't he cute! (Jack isn't too bad lookin' either!)

"Momma, what is Dada talkin' 'bout?"

So, that's it for the update for now. Next I hope to report that he's sitting up. I tried taking a picture yesterday, but unfortunately it only lasted a couple of seconds and in my excitement I reached for the camera instead of him and he went toppling. Let's just say that's one of the worst feelings a mother can have!

We also went in for professional portraits today at JCPenny's (thank you Grandma and Grandpa La). Those pictures should be available in about 10 days; I hope to be able to post them then.

The Blur and the Blob

Here's a post from Cara about our kiddies night of fun: http://thewilcoxes.blogspot.com/2007/09/blur-and-blob.html.

Also, Jack is into rolling over these days a little more often (in fact, he just rolled over as I was typing this...weird). Here are a couple pictures of him caught in the act from his night at the Wilcoxes.

Keep it up Big Boy!
