He's growing up

Our little boy has been changing a lot recently. Here are some pictures taken of him when he was about 2 1/2 weeks old...

In the below picture he's about a month old. We like to think he was smiling here.

And below are pictures from a recent "playdate" Jack and I had with Cara and Meg. Here Jack is about 5 weeks old. He changes so fast! It may just be me but he's starting to look like a little boy and not an infant. Kris has to remind me he is an infant so I don't forget to treat him like one (like remembering to hold his head up and minor stuff like that).

(No, his head is not abnormally large; it's just the perspective...I promise!)

Our little boy is growing up. He weighs about 13 pounds now, he smiles regularly, and watches Momma and Dadda move around the room. Today is his 6 week birthday. Happy Birthday, my little Chunker! :)

Jack's first days

We're in our second week of being parents and it's everything and nothing like we imagined. Jack has proved to be an excellent eater, sleeper, and pooper (which is a good thing because that's about all he does!). His cuteness is irresistable so I'll go ahead and post some of the first pictures we took. Hopefully I'll soon be able to post some more recent ones. He changes so much in just a week!


This picture was taken just hours after Jack was born. Here the nurse is making sure everything seems to be working correctly. I really appreciated the fact that he didn't have to leave the whole time they were checking him out. (That's my hand on the left making a cameo appearance.)
